want you know about "MONEY" Floyd Mayweather

Early life:

Mayweather was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States into a family of boxers. His father, Floyd Mayweather Sr., was a former welterweight contender who fought Hall of Famer Sugar Ray Leonard. His uncles (Jeff Mayweather and Roger Mayweather) were professional boxers, with Roger – Floyd’s current trainer – winning two world championships. Mayweather was born with his mother's last name, but his last name would change to Mayweather shortly thereafter.
Boxing has been a part of Mayweather's life since his childhood, and he never seriously considered any other profession. "I think my grandmother saw my potential first", Mayweather said. "When I was young, I told her 'I think I should get a job'. She said, 'No, just keep boxing'" "When I was about eight or nine, I lived in New Jersey with my mother and we were seven deep in one bedroom and sometimes we didn't have electricity", Mayweather said. "When people see what I have now, they have no idea of where I came from and how I didn't have anything growing up".

His nine PPV events generated 9.6 million buys and $543 million in television revenue, according to HBO. Mayweather has been part of the four biggest non-heavyweight PPV events in boxing history.

DIRECTV Exclusive Interview with Floyd Mayweather:

*Do you have any pre-fight rituals? I train in Las Vegas and stay at home during training camp so it’s really just another day for me. After the weigh-in I come home with my family and close friends, and stay relaxed by having something to eat and then just spending time in my bedroom thinking about the fight and how much I look forward to performing in the ring.

*Tell me something about you that sports fans would be surprised to know.
I love to go to the movies. There is something about going to a movie theater and watching a movie on a big screen. I like all kind of movies too. I like to go late at night in Las Vegas when the theaters aren’t as crowded or they will keep it open for me and my crew to watch it by ourselves.

*Tell us a little about The Money Team and where it’s headed.
The Money Team is my crew. The people who work for me and who have my back. It also includes the fighters that make up Mayweather Promotions. I run a tight ship, everyone has his or her job and responsibilities. The sky is the limit for The Money Team. We have a great group of fighters and people working behind the scenes to make everything come together. One of our fighters, Ishe Smith, just won a world title, becoming the first native Las Vegan to ever win a world title.

*We all know you’re a beast in the ring. Tell us about the soft side of Floyd Mayweather.
I am very dedicated to helping others. I founded The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation in 1997 and have focused on helping underprivileged youth in the Las Vegas community as well as supporting homeless shelters and soup kitchens. I have been amazingly fortunate in my life and it is important for me to be able to give back.

Mayweather Vs Guerrero: Floyd's first Showtime fight lacks 'buzz' as fight week begins:

Watch all three episodes of the Showtime All Access special for Floyd Mayweather, Jr. vs. Robert Guerrero. The two will meet on a pay-per-view boxing event on May 4. Showtime's commitment to being the destination for major event boxing became as clear as ever when they inked a deal with Floyd Mayweather, close to guaranteeing the world's undisputed best boxer would close out his career on their broadcasts. It was a sound enough business strategy for all involved parties. Showtime was getting some guaranteed big money fights on pay-per-view while Floyd was signing "richest individual athlete deal in all of sports" (per the press release).

Some quotes from the show:
Floyd Mayweather Jr.: "I'm a winner. I know how to win. Come fight night, I'm always able to expose any fighter's weakness. We the Ghostbusters." Nice touch throwing the theme music in there as well."

"Another great performance! Every time I fight I fight for my fans and May 4 will be no different. I am training extremely hard for this fight and it will reveal itself in the ring that night. I love boxing and am a perfectionist. I don’t stop until I get it perfect. I have been out of the ring for a year, so the fans are in for a treat and I will not disappoint them either."

Mayweather is still an attraction. It's possible that people don't care about the build but still will tune in with the same fervor for this Floyd fight as they usually do. If they do, I have a feeling they're going to be treated to a hell of a fight.
